Equipment
Electric and Leach kick wheels, facilities for hand-building, a wide range of glazes and a spray booth. We have an electric kiln mainly used for biscuit firing plus occasional earthenware firings, and a gas kiln for firing reduced stoneware. We also have raku kilns that are regularly used by members.
Both electric and gas kilns are fired regularly to ensure a continual circulation of member’s work. In good weather there are opportunities to do outdoor firings such as ‘Raku’.
Membership & Fees
For 2023/24 classes are £230 per 12-week term. Clay, glaze and firing are additional. Discounted clay can be purchased from your tutor at the pottery, currently £12 per 12.5kg bag for stoneware. Firing is chargeable per kg.
