A Celebration of Farnham Local Food – Art Exhibition
Delighted to meet Ginny at the Farnham Local Food ‘Veg-Garden Summer Fete & Plant Sale’ on Sunday. I have been going along to the annual plant sale for 4 years now and it just gets better, not only do I get to catch up with people I’ve not seen for a year, but the cake and pizza in the WSP created wood fired oven, the man on the accordion and friendliness of all involved is really quite special. A thriving hub of community effort, endeavor and the good life. I urge anyone living close by who has not discovered them to check it out.
Instead of the lush green and (slightly random) flower beds and borders, my garden would be a hopeless, weedy and sorry place. Buying plants that I have no idea about once a year from Leah (WSP member on Wednesday nights) at the plants sale has made my glorious garden what it is….love it!
A group of these community gardeners and veg growers are having an exhibition. Not surprising that they are a creative bunch. Go along if you can and support them, if it is half as good at the vegetables you are in for a treat!
