Annabel’s Pottery Story
Annabel, one of the WSP technicians has kindly shared her wonderful story with WSP members. Hopefully it will give others inspiration.
“Alongside working at Farnham Pottery, I also work at a pottery in Petersfield called loam studio. During winter of 2020 whilst working at loam, a pop up gallery called Herbert Headley appeared in the building next door. I wandered in to look at the work on display. It was full of gorgeous artwork and craft. I took a leap of faith and asked if it would be possible to have some of my work in the gallery. The lovely owners Fi and Stu said yes and took some of my hand-built bud vases. To my delight they flew off the shelves in the first week.
In April 2021 Herbert Headley set up a permanent shop in Midhurst and asked me to supply them with more bud vases and some of my new wheel-thrown marbled mugs.
I currently supply them with custom colours of these pieces and am working on a new collection which will make their debut soon.”
