Birdworld…Pottery Demo?
I have been contacted by Birdworld in Farnham, who hold a range of events throughout the year. One of their regular events is Farm Week which will be held from Tuesday, 10th April – Friday, 13th April.
During farm week they usually have farm related activities for the children to take part in such as ferret and goat racing, tractor and horse and cart rides, cow milking (with a wooden cow) and arts and crafts. They also have a number of stalls throughout the week which are related to farming such as coppice workers, corn dolly making, spinners, bee keepers and they sometimes have activities for the children to take part in or do demonstrations.
They are wondering if anyone from West Street Potters would be interested in attending the event to discuss and demonstrate pottery making.
Suggestion is that someone could come along and stay for the full 4 days or just 1 or 2 days, whatever suits them best. It would be free for them to come along and exhibit at this event.
They also have a new event this year is called Crafty Little Artists which is on Wednesday, 29th August. The event is really about celebrating everything to do with art. It will have a range of arty activities for the children to watch and some to take part in. Again, they are wondering if anyone from WSP would be interested in getting involved.
Let me know if you are interested and I will pass on the contact details I have for the event organiser.
