Don’t lose your lovely pots…..
This beautifully glazed teapot is damaged beyond repair due to RM01 Glaze [Richards glaze] running and welding it to the kiln shelf. Most pots suffering the same fate have this glaze, worse when combined with other glazes. The rich blues and violets are only achieved when the kiln is particularly hot, the down side is it runs much more.
1 Please use thin if over another glaze.
2 Wipe well back from the base leaving at least a centimetre clean
3 Stand pot on a piece of broken kiln tile covered with white sand
4 Ask tutor for advice
