Out with the old, in with the new!
Northern kilns came up with the goods again. The vintage 1970’s Electric Kiln died at the end of last term and is now replaced with a new model designed for WSP needs. Thanks to measuring and re-measuring and measuring again the old kiln was squeezed out with a centimetre to spare and the new moved in. The new kiln has the potential to retain heat while firing is in progress but cool faster . Industrial grade elements should last, saving frequent maintenance.
A huge thank you to Kathy Mason for being the organiser and Julia holding the tape (during the holidays ) to ensure that a kiln was in action for the new term.
