UCA fired pots missing
Some frustrating news – The last group of pots that were taken last year to UCA Farnham for reduction firing have vanished. COVID restrictions, the complications of accessing UCA since a digital read out system was implemented and communication breakdown have all contributed to this loss.
Between the pots being fired – which wasn’t a success due to the state of the kilns – and a request to collect them, one Technician had left on maternity leave and another had stepped in. During that period it’s likely that the pots were cleared out along with everything else. So many apologies from the UCA technicians and Julia.
It’s still just possible that they’ve been stored somewhere, but it’s not sensible to keep your hopes up.
