St Peters School Visit for Heritage Open Days
Twenty children from St Peters School took part in a ‘Pottery Quiz’ and searched the Farnham Pottery buildings using clues from a picture sheet. They took rubbings of the bricks and had a go at drawing the terracotta down pipes. After school parent and child detectives used binoculars and magnifying glasses to view chimney pots and mystery pottery relics.
Flower pots made by West Meon Pottery from the same seem of clay that was used at Farnham Pottery were given as prizes to Children who gave the most imaginative answers.
Thank you to David Fisher from AFFC Camera club for the pictures.
