Walter Keeler Demonstration

SUNDAY 3RD MARCH, 10AM-4PM
THE FANCY LOFT @ FARNHAM POTTERY

The world renown Walter Keeler is one of the most influential of British potters spanning twentieth and twenty first centuries.

He was educated at Harrow school of Art and later taught on the Harrow and Bristol ceramics courses. His reputation was cemented on his work in the fields of salt-glazing and throwing. Primarily a thrower, Keeler has always combined this with other techniques like press-moulding and extrusion.

Being the progressive artists that he is, Keeler continues to move forward; his more recently developed work features brighter colours and glassy glazes. Keeler is and extraordinary interpreter; his ability to spring ideas form historical sources into a contemporary and relevant language for today.

318 Ceramics is very proud to present this masterday with one of the greats of British studio pottery.
